M.D. Chau is an avant-garde songwriter, producer and recording artist who was formerly known as Minh, a moniker under which he released five studio albums since his debut in 2006 with the album Life. Love. Soul.

The Vietnamese Los Angeles-based creative attained a substantial level of success releasing music as Minh with his eclectic mix of pop, electronic and soul elements, earning placements in high profile television programs such as 90210, MTV’s Made, Big Brother, and National Geographic. M.D. also signed to the same management company as R&B/neo-soul icon Erykah Badu which opened up a bevy of opportunities including not only opening for Ms. Badu, but other luminaries of soul music such as The Isley Brothers and Maze featuring Frankie Beverly.

After a brief hiatus from music and taking the opportunity to solidify his entrepreneurial endeavors, M.D. has resurfaced in the music arena with a renewed sense of purpose and approach to his artistry. M.D. is now intent on making music that personally resonates with him and is meaningful in all respects, regardless “whether someone likes it or not”. His artistry is a 100% genuine extension of his heartfelt thoughts and world view and M.D. has cultivated this forward-thinking mindset into a profoundly intriguing song and composition titled “Stand Next to Me”. His new digital pop experimental album, NØVEL: Volume One, is available everywhere on February 13, 2026.
